Description 

Fittings to attach -6 AN hoses to a 1980-2004 Mustang with Ford/Visteon steering rack.

  • Designed by MM's Engineering team.
  • Fittings have correct thread diameter, thread pitch, and interface design to thread directly into a 1980-2004 Mustang with a power steering rack made by Ford/Visteon. Dos not fit TRW power steering rack.
  • Opposite end of each fitting is machined as male -6 AN.
  • Allows use of AN-style hose with readily available -6 AN fittings.
  • Makes future maintenance easier.
  • Zinc-plated steel
  • Includes PTFE O-ring seals.
  • Includes hydraulic sealant as a secondary seal.
Does NOT fit Mustangs with an OEM power steering rack made by TRW. Those include:
  • 1984 Mustang SVO
  • Some 1980-82 Mustangs

 

  • Makes future maintenance much easier, as these adapters can remain threaded into the rack while the hoses are disconnected at the AN connection, eliminating a common leak source.
  • Allows use of durable braided stainless steel hoses.
  • Mates to common -6 AN fittings.
  • Zinc-plated steel adapter fittings designed just for this application.
  • Includes PTFE O-ring seals.
  • Includes hydraulic sealant as a secondary seal.

  • 1984 Mustang SVO fitted with OEM TRW power steering rack
  • 1980-82 Mustangs fitted with OEM TRW power steering rack
  • Flaming River power steering rack.
